From the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce:
The Westin Anaheim Resort on Katella Ave. marked another big milestone in its construction on December 7. City officials and other VIPs were on hand as the Westin handed off its new parking structure’s ground floor to the Anaheim Convention Center to help improve event and show operations, on-loading and off-loading.
Mayor Harry Sidhu was joined by Councilmembers Lucille Kring, Jordan Brandman, Steve Faessel, and Trevor O’Neil for this special occasion, along with Wincome USA’s Paul Sanford, Visit Anaheim CEO Jay Burress, and Ernesto Medrano with the LA/OC Building Trades.
The Anaheim Chamber is proud to work with City of Anaheim- Municipal Government leaders, Westin developer Wincome USA, Visit Anaheim, and the Los Angeles/Orange Counties Building and Construction Trades Council to make this ongoing project a reality.
Editor’s note: The Westin Anaheim Resort is anticipated to open its doors in summer 2020. The $245 million-dollar, 7-story, 613-room luxury property will be adjacent to the newly-expanded Anaheim Convention Center and directly across from the Disneyland Resort. It will be the first Westin built in Southern California in nearly 25 years.
