From the Tim Shaw for Supervisor campaign:
Orange County, Calif. – United States Congressman for California’s 46th District, Lou Correa, has endorsed La Habra Mayor Tim Shaw for Orange County’s Fourth District supervisorial seat. With Congressman Correa’s endorsement, the Shaw for Supervisor campaign continues to gain momentum and bipartisan support with the November 6th General Election just around the corner.
“I have known Tim for many years and have worked with him on various transportation and infrastructure issues affecting the County,” said Congressman Correa. “I know him to be a hard worker, common-sense problem solver and someone who will put the Fourth District first in all that he does.”
In reacting to Congressman Correa’s endorsement, Mayor Shaw stated, “To have Congressman Correa’s support is a tremendous honor, as he is a respected leader committed to working across party lines to ensure Orange County residents are well represented in government.”
Shaw was the top vote-getter in the primary race for 4th District County Supervisor this past June and looks ahead to the November election as he continues to get out his message to voters about his track record on critical issues, accomplishments and growing list of endorsements.
Shaw currently serves as the Mayor of La Habra and was first elected to the La Habra City Council in 2008. In addition to his duties on the City Council, Shaw serves in various regional capacities such as the Vice-Chairman of the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), a Director on the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) Board of Directors, and member of the Board of Directors for the Association of California Cities – Orange County (ACC-OC).
Shaw has worked in the offices of the Governor of California, a California State Senator, an Orange County Supervisor, and currently serves as Government Affairs Director for the Pacific West Association of REALTORS®. For more than a decade, he has taught American Government as an adjunct professor at Rio Hondo College. Shaw lives in La Habra with his wife Shannon and their six sons.To learn more about the Shaw for Supervisor campaign, please visit the campaign website at www.TimShaw4OC.com
