AnaCon Comics & Sci-Fi At Anaheim Central Library On Saturday February 18

AnaConAs part of NEA Big Read, the Central Library will showcase its first AnaCon event on Saturday, February 18th. The FREE event will feature science fiction authors, a DC comic book illustrator, a professional movie make-up demo, robots built by Anaheim High School students, book giveaways and many more surprises!

Book signings by YA Science Fiction Authors
Authors work will be available for purchase at theMysterious Galaxy bookstore and Comic Hero Universitypop-up during the event. Authors include:CecilCastellucci, Elizabeth BriggsJennifer Brody and Stephanie Diaz

Comic Book Artist
Meet DC comics artist Bernard Chang whose credits include Batman Beyond, Superman and Wonder Woman.

Robotics & Movie Make-Up Demo
Join Anaheim High School students in an interactive robotics experience.The AHS students will share how they built these robots for competitions. The artist Jessica Rousseau will be demonstrating a live zombie make-up tutorial.

This year two local food trucks will be on site at the event, The Classic Taco Truck and the Italian Ice Truck Cool Crave. A portion of the proceeds from The Classic Taco Truck and Cool Crave will benefit the Friends of The Anaheim Public Library and Anaheim Public Library Foundation.

There is free parking in the Anaheim Central Library parking lot at City Church, which is directly across the street from the Library (200 W. Broadway). All additional parking will be at the Wells Fargo parking structure (222 S Harbor Blvd #100). The parking fee is surrendered upon entering the parking lot
