Council Majority Backs Wagner Over Moorlach
IRVINE – Irvine Mayor Steven Choi, Mayor Pro Tem Jeff Lalloway and Councilwoman Christina Shea announced today their support of Assemblyman Don Wagner’s campaign for State Senate.
“As a longtime resident of Irvine, Don has never wavered in his commitment to our great city,” said Mayor Choi. “Don’s voting record truly reflects his conservative principles.”
“He works tirelessly to advance legislation that makes government smaller, smarter, and more efficient,” added Mayor Pro Tem Lalloway.
“He cares about Irvine, and has been a great partner for us in local government,” said Councilwoman Shea. “I encourage all Irvine residents to support Don, who has done so much to support our city.”
These Irvine leaders join numerous other local elected officials in supporting Wagner, including Irvine Ranch Water District Directors Steve Lamar, Mary Aileen Mathis, and John Withers, Irvine School Board Member Ira Glasky, and former Irvine City Manager William Woollett. Don Wagner has been a resident in Irvine since 1991 and is a former finalist for Irvine Citizen of the Year.
The special election primary will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.
