Visitors Spend $710 Million in Anaheim in May 2017

2.4 million people visited Anaheim in May and spent $710 million in Orange County, according to Visit Anaheim, which markets the city as a destination for business and leisure travel.  That’s a 19% increase over the number of visitors in May 2016, and in-OC spending grew by 9.5% over the same period last year.

All told, 10 million visitors have come to Anaheim from January through May of 2-17, which is a 13% increase from the same period in 2016; their year-to-date spending is approximately $3.4 billion – a nearly 10% boost over last year.

There were 23 million total visitors to Anaheim in 2016; they spent a collective $8 billion countywide.

According to Visit Anaheim, day-trippers to Anaheim historically account for about two-thirds of the city’s traveler total; travelers to the city commonly account for about half of OC visitor totals.

  1. With all this money, where are my paved streets and street lights between Midway Drive and Cerritos Avenue on the west side of Anaheim Blvd across the street from American Sports Center and Anaheim Marketplace?
