APRIL AT THE MUZEO
The Bring your Lunch and Learn series continues on Wednesday, April 12 with Nahla Kayali, the founder and Executive Director for Access California Services. Access California has been described as a leader in the Arab -and Muslim-American, immigrant and refugee communities in ensuring individuals and families receive access to quality services. These services include employment, counseling, citizenship and immigration services, education, healthcare and community engagement opportunities.
Nahla serves on various boards, including the Community Action Partnership of Orange County, the Orange County Food Bank and the Public Health Board at the Department of Health Sciences at California State University, Fullerton.

On Thursday April 20th, the Open Book Author’s series will feature Greta Boris author of ‘The Wine and Chocolate Workout.’ A former Wellness Coach, she writes to inspire, entertain, motivate, and so she can afford nice wine. Find out more at this Open Book Author’s Series presentation that is offered free to the community, starts at 6 PM and concludes at 8 PM. The Carnegie South Gallery has been transformed into a tea room and a variety of tea experiences are provided. Some will be traditional while others will include fashion shows and presentations by millinery, Mela Hoyt-Heydon, who designs and produces period millinery for the entertainment industry. Her hats can be seen in the films Vanity Fair, Emma, Jefferson in Paris, Persuasion, North and South, the Aviator and most recently, Comanche Moon. Locally she has created costumes for Disney, Princess and Sitmar Cruise Lines, The Globe Theater, Moonlight Amphitheatre, Beverly Hills Playhouse, Long Beach Playhouse, Stages, 3DTheatricals, and Westbeat. In the main Muzeo Gallery, ‘Dressing Downton’ ~ Changing Fashions for Changing Times’, continues through May 14. This is the only West Coast viewing opportunity of this exquisite collection of costumes from the very popular PBS television series Downton Abbey. Docent tours are also available on the hour from 10 AM-3 PM, reservations are required.
